The Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) in Bridgeport, CA is trying to identify vendors that are able to fulfil our requirement for Veterinary Technician/Equine Health Instructor. This is a request for information only. Below is a brief description of the requirement with a more detailed draft performance work statement (PWS) provided as an attachment.
The Contractor shall provide a Veterinary Technician/Equine Health Instructor who would assist the MCMWTC Stable Master and his staff in maintaining the MCMWTC's herd of more than sixty equines (mules and horses). This contractor will also instruct USMC, US Army, US Navy, foreign militaries, Federal Law Enforcement, and SOF students in the anatomy, health concerns, and care of equines as part of the instructor staff of the MCMWTC's Animal Packing and SOF Horsemanship courses. Contractor shall participate in information and planning meetings; communicate with training centers and schools; and develop or provide input to briefings and reports.

This synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/supplies is prepared in accordance with the format in parts 12 and 8 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The synopsis/solicitation will be advertised as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Small Business Set-Aside (SBA dissolved). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; no separate written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is M33610-19-Q0006.
Applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code: 221210 size standard 1,000. The government contemplates a single award, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract under FAR Part 13 -Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Anticipated award date: 28 May 2019.

BASIS FOR AWARD:
The competition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
Award will be made to the responsive and responsible quoter who provides the best value to the Government.
Evaluations and consideration will be made based on the lowest price technically acceptable and technical qualification criteria (see attached Sol# M33610-19-Q-0006 .
The Government intends to issue an FFP contract. The Government reserves the right not to award if it is determined not to be in best interest of the Government.

The Contractor shall provide all labor and supervision.
